Whether you're pastoring a church, leading a home fellowship or just someone trying to follow Jesus, our growing series of Simple Kingdom books provides you with keys that can help you advance the kingdom of God. Rooted in the teachings and practices of John Wimber and the early Vineyard Movement, and validated by decades of our own personal experience building and planting home fellowships and helping new church plants, our books are freely available for download in PDF format and you can also read them in their entirety online.
What does it mean to follow Jesus and become his disciple? How does one grow as a disciple? How can we disciple others, and who should do this?
In the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 the Lord instructed his followers to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe everything he commanded them. To fulfill this task we first need to understand the true purpose and goal of discipleship. Our latest book Simple Kingdom: Discipleship attempts to deal with this subject simply, and Biblically.
Our free book covers the following topics:

In an article titled "Worship: Intimacy with God" that was published in the Summer 1993 issue of Equipping the Saints magazine, John Wimber said the following: "We in the Vineyard have, from the very outset of our ministry, made worship our highest priority, believing that it is God's desire that we become, first, worshippers of God."
The aim of our free book Simple Kingdom: Worship is to help the church recapture the simplicity and intimacy of the songs and approach to worship that characterized the early years of the Vineyard movement. Our book endeavors to do this by exploring the following topics:

On one of his Healing for Today television programs broadcast on Trinity Broadcasting Network in 1984, John Wimber ended the program by saying:
"I think that probably the most crucial missing element in the church today is what we've been teaching on today: learning how to love. Learning how to really, generously care for other human beings, in very practical and pragmatic ways. Giving ourselves in care of and in love. And you can't do it in large churches and large situations. We have several thousand people that gather on Sunday in our fellowship. And you know, you're not gonna learn to love somebody you don't know who's sitting next to you. You've gotta do it in small housgroups. That's why we're so committed in our fellowship that every member should be in a small housegroup—where you can learn to love people that otherwise you wouldn't even like."
Home fellowships are a place where church really happens, where the "body of Christ" becomes an experiential reality and not just a theological concept. The aim of our book Simple Kingdom: Home Fellowships is to get you thinking about what "church" actually is and what "doing church" should really look like, and then to show how you can "do church" by starting home fellowships.
