Welcome to our website! Inspired by the phrase "to build and to plant" found in Jeremiah 1:10, we created BuildPlant.org so we could freely share everything we've learned over the years about building and planting churches and home fellowships. The following is a brief description of our background and what you will find on our site.

We first encountered the Vineyard movement in the early 80s. Much impacted back then by the teaching and example of John Wimber, we started several home fellowships and began praying for the sick with some success. In the years that followed, we trained and provided oversight for ministry teams in several Vineyard churches and helped support new church plants. We believe our calling is to help conserve, preserve and protect the teachings and practices that the Lord has given his Church through John and Carol Wimber. Our simple premise, which we learned from John, is that to effectively grow the church one should focus on advancing the kingdom of God the way that Jesus and his first disciples did.

On our website you will find a series of free books available for download in PDF format. Our purpose in writing these books is to share some keys we have discovered for advancing the kingdom of God. The titles that are currenctly available include Simple Kingdom: Home Fellowships, Simple Kingdom: Worship and Simple Kingdom: Discipleship. We hope to have additional titles available for you to download in the near future. We also maintain a blog on our site where you will find healing stories, personal testimonies, thought-provoking articles and more.

Finally, we strongly believe as Wimber taught us that worship should be our highest priority, that we are to love God with all our heart, soul, strength and mind (Luke 10:27). The worship songs of the early Vineyard personally transformed us and brought us into greater intimacy with God, and over the years God has given us many fresh new worship songs which we've often sung together in our fellowships and which we are now freely making available on the Songs page of our website.

Blessings and thanks for dropping by!

Cheers,
